WINTERSPORT LIGHT TRAVEL PROGRAM

The Light Travel Program for Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget players was created for the development of those who wish to play the game, but are not ready for the commitment of the Full Travel Program. The Philosophy of the Light Travel Program is to stress the Developmental Skills of the game of hockey.

In addition, the program will begin to introduce more advanced aspects of the game, such as the breakout, back checking, and special teams play. Light Travel is a fun and developmental program that will challenge, and focus on continuous player development.

Light Travel Teams will receive a weekly full ice practice slot. Players will also have the option to purchase Specialized Training (Power Skating or Goaltending) to work on individual skill development. The season will begin in late September, and extend for 20 weeks, skipping the Christmas-New Years holidays. All players are registered with USA Hockey.

Returning Light Travel Players, who register before July 1, will receive a $25 Loyalty Credit off the Program costs.
