Programs The Royals offer many programs to meet your child's needs. If your child is just learning to ice skate, then Learn-2-Skate sessions are offered throughout the year. Certified skating instructors will teach all aspects of becoming a better skater. Once your child learns the basics of skating, they can proceed to our Royals Atom Program. This program focuses on skill development (skating, passing, stick handling, and shooting), and allows the child to use these newly learned skills during in-house games. We also try and schedule a few games against teams from other local rinks. Once confident in their abilities, the next step for your child is the Royals Travel Program. Travel teams get to play at a higher level against skilled opponents with different styles and strategies. If your child wants to play Ice Hockey, but cannot commit to a Full Travel schedule, then our Light Travel program is right for you.
